Natasha Anita, PhD

Natasha Anita, PhD, is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Neurosciences at the University of California, San Diego. She earned her doctorate in clinical pharmacology from the University of Toronto, where she examined blood-based lipid biomarkers related to depression and cognitive changes in older adults with type 2 diabetes. As a member of the Study of Latinos – Investigation of Neurocognitive Aging (SOL-INCA) Laboratory, Dr. Anita aims to further investigate the impact of depression on neurocognitive aging, seeking to bridge the gap between Alzheimer's disease and dementia research with biological psychiatry.
